All parents/guardians of students at Margaret Jenkins are automatically part of the Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The PAC is a very important advisory body, empowered through the School Act and Board Policy.
Between Sep-May, a PAC General Information Session is held each month, usually on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:00pm in the school library. All parents at the school are welcome and encouraged to join us at these meetings where we have an opportunity to hear from the school Principal and/or Vice Principal about current issues and where parents' opinions and feedback are welcomed.
Additionally, at EMJS, we elect a PAC Executive at our AGM in May each year. This team of parents helps plan, coordinate and liaison between the school administration and parent volunteers in order to help bring extra programs, activities and services to the students and staff at our school and raise awareness about issues that concern our school community.
